It's less useful to have a little screen on my wrist that I have to hold my wrist up to my face to use.

zuckerberg gets a special version of metaverse where everyone has huge feet with huge toes, and there are big stink lines coming off them. the feet are modeled and textured by an ai that crawls through your facebook photos. only mark can see this. nobody else is allowed.

Future civilizations will still be puzzled over the "why is there nobody out there" question. Turns out we all figured out how to make VR (and accessories!) really good and jacked and jilled ourselves into extinction. It was God's plan all along.

Mix VR, Mars, and Twitch. We launch a bunch of drones to Mars and people spend money for the opportunity to remote pilot them (with delay, for course) via VR and attempt to terraform the planet for us. Their audience pays them, they pay the companies, and the companies trick you into doing work for them by calling it a game.

Sup fellow SpaceVR idea buddy This honestly what we should be doing in orbit to prevent human casualties, and is an easier way to get things built faster. Having a fleet of tugs, tenders, and other vehicles that people goggle into is waaaaay less dangerous and the lag time is probably minimal with modern satellite connectivity. Much less lift weight for payload consideration, too.
