Preschools typically take photos of kids to send to the parents, either individually or as a newsletter to all of the parents, and there's usually a release or an authorization you do when you enroll your kids that says "your teacher will take photos of your kids" and sometimes another one that separately says "we might use these photos on our website or whatever." I'm not defending a thirsttrap instagram model for either taking photos for her personal account in the classroom or for including kids' faces, that's obviously out of line, but I'm saying there's a very common and normal legal avenue for taking kids' pictures in a school. It's probably not illegal but it's certainly against their policies.

Ahh, I don't have kids, so I've never dealt with school admission and I went to school well before the internet was really a thing, so the only photos that were really taken of me were on school picture day where I had a form filled out with a check, I was going off what I was told while taking photography classes as an adult.
