I signed my name once on one of my first posts to the site. I put a '-Lex' after my post, which I got mocked for about two pages for. I never did it again, and continued to have a decent discussion on the thread for like 3 days. I started a thread of my own, and contributed to some others, never again signing my name. Then, out of the blue, I get tempbanned. BAM. For a post days earlier.

Now, if this was in the rules, and I hadn't noticed, I would be more understanding. But I combed the rules looking for a 'don't sign your name' rule, and found nothing like it. I don't understand why someone's posting privileges can be taken away for signing your name, first off, that's just silly. Secondly, once the error in etiquette has been corrected, getting retro-banned is lame. Thirdly, and most importantly, being banned for things not in the rules sucks big time.

I hope this gets seriously read and considered, but it was only one day, and I'm back at it, so I don't expect anything. I really like posting and reading here, and I think there are some of the smartest, intellectually challenging people on the internet, so I would like to stay. Thank you.
