Due to constant restrictions, along with no friends able to enter each other's buildings, she works from her apartment most of the month, can't meet anyone, and lives in a level of isolation that has put her into a deep depression. Kampot is where most of the chill expats fled after Otres and sihnoukville was bulldozed again by Chinese casino development, displacing the locals yet again, however the developers are trying very hard to move on kampot now, the only hurdle was the casino on bokor has a rule banning buildings being x levels high and no casinos in a 20km radius, it'll get changed and ruined. Local people don't even get employed by these changes, as they fly chinese workers in via guangzhou.

Oh gods Cambodia. I visited once, and in the hotel there was this info card that basically plaintively begged you not to gently caress child prostitutes. The need for such a card is bad enough, but the tone was something else. Like it assumed that obviously you were here to bang a 9-year-old, but have you considered maybe not doing that? Please?

I had some pretty amazing hand pulled noodles and dumplings in kampot, about 2.50 USD for a big bowl. There's some good American bbq places etc too and some great local food Phnom Penh and Siem reap were the skeeziest places I came across.

Jesus Christ I thought Cambodia was pay to shoot an RPG or see Angor Wat. I didn’t realize the pedo tourism was that bad. Philippines not so much. I just remember Thailand from a lot of busts of truly heinous people.
