I get that they're disease bearing pests, but for the uninitiated, wow.

Some people are trying to make it happen:  Some people are trying to make it very much not happen (R-Kioski is a nationwide chain of small convenience stores that sell overpriced crappy stuff):  A bigger cultural hot dogish thing in Finland is a "lihapiirakka makkaralla", a kind of hot dog using a savory pie with rice and mince filling as the bun. That's traditionally been the go-to early morning thing to buy from little food shacks.

I can't believe $100 is the most expensive hotdog, with all the other bullshit fancy "pricey for the sake of being pricey" foods I've seen going orders of magnitude higher. Also from everything I've heard, truffle oil is the best way to make your entire dish taste like truffle oil, so enjoy not tasting those other fancy ingredients I guess.
