Every model has a laundry list of problems in certain situations, that's why no serious forecaster or scientist looks at them on an individual basis. They are also universally bad beyond 7 days, even 5 days is pushing it.

We get one or two a year, but by the time they get here they're usually down to CAT 1 because the ocean is usually relatively cool here but it's getting hotter every year and we're about as prepared for hurricanes as we are for heatwaves. Usually in October we get a couple of windstorms which can put out CAT 2 wind speeds and some people get squashed by trees and chimney stacks.
