Each time you shut something like this down less people bother moving to the new location, or they fracture into multiple groups based on slight ideological differences etc. You'll always have a core group of assholes who have literally nothing better to do with their lives but the key is to just make things just that little bit more difficult each time so they lose more and more of their audience. Not only that, but shutting a site like this down doesn't just shatter the community, it also takes away the place they've been storing and collecting a bunch of information. Let's say they have a bunch of info on me and my family for my crime of Existing While Trans, but don't have a hugely active campaign against me; you take down the website they're holding that information on, not only is the network of harassers out of a central place to communicate, they also probably don't have that info anymore. A lot of people are unlikely to store backups of this information, so what'd end up happening is person A has a phone number that seems right, person B has a work posting with a matching name, person C has a family member's home address, person D has antrax, but none of them have the central information anymore so it's much harder to do anything substantial. Not everyone would be this lucky, unfortunately; chances are even if KF got burned to the ground, there'd be a dedicated enough group focused on harassing someone like Keffals that things are still gonna be pretty hot around her, even if they become more disorganized. When the rights-holders-- whoever they may be-- inevitably do decide to plunge back in on a direct adaptation of the LotR novels they are going to play up Gandalf's animosity to a huge degree and it'll be almost entirely due to tweets like this. That's not a complaint. Just an observation.

I have kind of a knack for inventing drinks that no one would ever want to drink except like, on a dare or as a joke. 'Under the Boardwalk' is a Sex on the Beach except the orange juice has turned and you use Purell instead of vodka. We have a local 'industry shot' called a 'Blackbird' that's mostly Jameson (or originally Wild Turkey, hence the name) topped with Montenegro. I put a little spin on it; it's mostly alcoholic Listerine and then topped with grapefruit bitters. I call it a 'Zackbird.' Similarly, if you want to make Applejack but don't have any brewers' yeast, I'll come stir the sugar and water mixture with my severe case of athlete's foot. That's 'Applezack.' Last one is kind of an inside joke: the 'Snake Island Iced Tea.' it's just a highball glass of La Croix with an MDMA rim.
