As it was the case of an American company being acquired by a foreign one, they went through the whole CFIUS process. When it became apparent that said company likely acquired mine because we at the time held a USG contract that had the travel records of a lot of DOD people, that poo poo got vetoed so quick and completely torpedoed the deal. Apparently it was the one acquisition that got barred that year. I for one did not miss the random Israelis who just appeared around my office and had a habit of popping around asking people what they were working on.

Not sure how relevant this is for most people, but CloudFlare dropped and blocked KiwiFarms, finally. It's full of apologist bullshit ("This is an extraordinary decision for us to make and, given Cloudflare's role as an Internet infrastructure provider, a dangerous one that we are not comfortable with"  ), but, hey, good news is good news.
