Speaking of blue dots, what the hell is that one where you have to do something with an armored police van? The entire thing is bulletproof, including the tires and windows. And even with the 6x6 Dubstep (or whatever it's called) I couldn't bring the thing to a complete stop.

It worked when it was new but it seems either bugged now, or perhaps it spawns for specific player in the session and only they can interact with it? Not sure about that.

My crew and I tried the casino heist last night (after what felt like 4 real nights' worth of setup missions) and we could not get into the vault without getting seen. It seemed weird how much the Lester VO made it seem like "this is the easy part just walk right in what are you waiting for GO GO GO" but there were a number of overlapping guard cones and a camera and no silent way to take them out and it seemed harder than it was supposed to be or something. I think we were also on tilt because we tried it a couple times and kept getting caught, restarting at that point puts you all the way back to the start where you have to do the stupid fingerprint hack again after walking through the building and after the last attempt we just all alt+f4'd and said gently caress it we'll try it again another time.

You can shoot through the side windows but not the windshield. The assault shotgun is really good for this but it requires the van to be stopped (if you follow it without getting aggro it might stop at a stoplight) or the AP pistol from a car. Or if you have a gun with FMJ rounds, those ignore all window armor.

I’ve only done the casino heist once and not very well, but if you do it the stealth way, aren’t you supposed to use the stun gun on a couple of the cameras? Shooting all of them will alert, but I think you can get away with a few of them. Maybe it’s the stun from the drone? I can’t remember, sorry

Oh my buddy did a few of the setup missions on his own and must've taken the ceramic pistol instead of a stun gun because all we have is unsilenced pistols

The silent and sneaky one? I'd definitely say it's not the easiest one of the three, full stealth takes some coordination. My normal casino crew has settled on one way of doing it: in and out through the staff lobby, hit the EMP right before the elevator button, and the standard "headshot everybody in the way" rules. The big thing to remember is the cameras will detect bodies, and you get one free camera to destroy if you get unlucky with placement. For the overlapping guards, two of you kinda just need to time the shots. I don't get it, there are already many guns that shoot bullets fast, so many, why do we need more? Is it slightly higher damage per shot but slightly slower firing but moderately accurate? Wow!

Upgrades suck on it tho. Extended mag, flashlight, suppressor(only one) and non color matched grip. No special ammos, no scope These last few guns have been very blah. As not a gun guy, to me it’s just 3 different models that all seem kinda samey

Our traditional silent/sneaky casino run is to parachute in to the helipad, then rappel down the elevator shaft, then out the lobby. Guard patterns don't vary much run to run, so we've gotten pretty good at getting in and out without being seen at this point. IIRC, ceramic guns are what you get for a Big Con approach, though, which is a pain in the rear end to try to stealth through; we always go with the Gruppe Sechs entry, which doesn't really let you grab any extra cash from the secondary vault on the way down, but means you don't have to worry about stealth at all until you're on your way out, and then only until you get to the locker rooms where you can put on your firefighter or high roller disguises. The Big Con's basically free money, it's a shame you have to alternate it with another method, really.

Can ya believe I don’t think I’ve ever done a proper big con(or stealth but bleh) exit with disguise and walking out the front door? I think it’s always just been the quick and dirty way- upstairs to the staff exit, across the track, find grab a car and deliver. I would love sometime to have a guide take me thru that stress free exit I have one setup bigcon/gold I think. Maybe this weekend?

Holy poo poo I got my first weapon part finally! And I almost hosed it up. It spawned in Paleto like the previous five or so identical movie props, so I inadvertently crashed my Buzzard right into the cop car and died while lazily checking the map. Luckily it didn't disappear. I found out you have to wait 20 minutes on each session hop before checking the sites.

Yeah getting those gun pieces took foreeeever. Glad it’s done What’s the deal with smuggler caches? Not the ones where you follow a crashing plane, but the one I found was just a flare on the beach near paleto and I could only “inspect the flare” using the action button.

I got the plane crash one incidentally while I was wandering around trying to get the weapon parts to spawn Look, I hit that plane with a couple of rockets on its way down out of curiosity. That doesn't justify the automatic stars after it crashes! GTA logic is always great, though. Stay out of sight/underwater long enough and they'll forget why they're there and you can just walk out of the lake in front of them no big deal

This was basically confirmed as truth, of course take that as you will. For the VI portion yeah it’s some early sims lookin video with lots of placeholders and fuzzy blurry screenshots of code. AFAIK that parts not too unusual, as it shows that something is under progress. It could give a rough estimate on how far things are or peeks at content and maps, no real idea how much is out there Maybe more importantly though, it seems like V’s code was also compromised and available for offers. This could impact online hugely as it could reveal any anti cheat in place and open the exploit well. I hate panic mongering esp for stuff I don’t completely understand, but relevant tweets are out there and it remains to be seen what comes of this
