I don't have a pug, but I do have an extremely weird lhasa apso from a rescue. He has so many rules about when and where cuddles can happen. My brother is allowed to flex his paws first thing in the morning, but only in the dining room, and only at the correct end of the table. He loves the overall body stretch that results from having his paws flexed  I may give him hugs and kisses, but only if he is sitting on the hugs n kisses chair. He gets so cross if anyone messes with his weird rules about when and where he can be cuddled. He's a weird, weird dog, but he is so lovely and so very loving odd. You mess with his rules and he looks at you like you hosed with royal protocol. Edit: I just read this post to him and oh god, he is so offended.
