Bizarro The Family Circus This view of the neighborhood is obviously non-canon, to be taken as condensed and representational instead of literal. Unless of course Keane is retconning their house to be much smaller and butted right up to a commercial-zoned area on a main drag that's a hangout for homeless people.

Oh, For God's Sake I had a lump of continuity cop text ready to follow this strip, but Chester's punchline comes with a creeping feeling that the next week is all about high-volume mockery of media "obsessives" as mentally ill burnouts. Which made me feel kind of silly, to say the least. Crankshaft, on the other hand, has a simpler message for us today: look, buddy, just roll with it. Mutts Sally Forth Peanuts (September 14, 1975) Mutt and Jeff skipped Sundays again. If it happens once, it's a gaffe. If it happens twice, it's an editorial decision. Figure I'd share these. Sally Bananas was a strip by Charles Barsotti that ran 1969-73, about a flower girl and the surreal world around her (hey, it started in the 1960s). Barsotti is best known for his New Yorker cartoons, but he tried his hands on a number of daily strips, although none of them took off. "Sally Bananas" is still fondly remembered by fans of Barsotti, though. A while back I bought a stack of Sunday clippings on eBay, almost a year's worth. I figure I'd share them
