In Inglourious Basterds, what film is on the poster behind Shosanna at the beginning of Chapter 5, as she prepares for German Night? The full text is obscured. My best guess is Fraulein Doktor (it's a Nazi spy thriller, which would fit) but that movie's from 1969 and none of the posters of it I've found seem to match the poster depicted anyway.

Never actually knew what it was called. And never bothered to look it up.

Just saw randomly on twitter the other day (some dude was dunking on a different movie available for streaming) but the movie next to the one he was mocking was Sahara. Could legit just rent it now instead of having to troll through the back of a TV Guide to see if it was ever on

Not a movie, but a tv show. The only thing I know about it is that, in syndication, the studio for whatever reason crammed like almost 200 episodes into season 2.

And the thing with this is that it was for some weird syndicated reasoning, and the plethora of episodes only showed up in one season. On a whim, even though I'm almost certain it was live action, I checked The Real Ghostbusters, and season 2 had 65 episodes, whereas the others had anywhere ranging between 8 and 24 per. Anger Management, based on the Sandler movie, had a 90 episode second season for syndication reasons. I think House of Payne on TBS got like a 200-episode order right off the bat because they knew it’d make its money back in syndication no matter what. There was also that weird CBS show with the brother from Everybody Loves Raymond called Til Death that had a bizarrely long season that went insanely meta and weird because no one was watching but they wanted to hit their syndication episode count morestuff fucked around with this message at 04:24 on Sep 10, 2022 |

I was looking for a movie that was recommended here like, an actual decade ago. I pirated it and never watched it, deleted it, and now I want to watch it again. Could have SWORN it was called Cairo, Nest of Spies, but when I looked that up it's a parody/comedy, whereas the movie I'm thinking of was not, and was made in the 70s I think. If this helps, I did open the movie once just to see if it worked and clicked around the intro and I vaguely remember a black woman dancing in a James Bond intro kind of scene. But yeah this was all a decade ago so who knows how accurate any of this is. Thanks! And Sorry! edit: it might have been a MOTM once

The movie I'm thinking of seemed so serious, and definitely took place in the Levant, and might have had a psychedelic aspect to it, even with the espionage piece (which may or may not have even existed).
