There are usually exceptions to punitive caps for whatever the state’s anti-fraud and deceptive practices act is called. Texas and Florida both have similar carveouts. It would appear CT does as well, and a claim under that statute was one of the default judgments awarded against Jones.

I'm not sure if the court itself will have one. Also, something I missed yesterday, the US trustee is not only objecting to Schwartz as the restructuring officer, they're also asking to get Jones' bankruptcy counsel tossed from the case for the same reason.
