Ruby Ridge was super stupid because the Weavers, very outspoken anti-government folk, were set-up by the government to spy on the aryan nation, and the government got mad when they refused. Like yeah the Weavers said they weren’t members of the aryan nation but they were clearly lying, so of course they’d rather have a stand-off than betray the aryan nation. Then the government hosed up Waco too and we ended up with Trump as President.

If you ever get into an in-person political discussion/argument with an "I'm not republican, I'm libertarian" dude they will absolutely tell on themselves 99% of the time if you ask which AOC they're more concerned about. Its been 100% in my experience but I can't claim it to be universal because it's always been in bars so alcohol is a factor in their honesty.

But the gist is: libertarians are a hyper-specific brand of autistic spectrum coupled with sociopathy where the only way you can arrive at the conclusions of libertarian ideals is if you genuinely have zero empathy and can't process other people being alive and having emotions and full lives that don't involve you. It's actually impossible to be a libertarian and not be a dangerous sociopath because of the mental blocks it takes to not realize the absence of humanity in any position taken by libertarians. And with that narcissism and lack of humanity you arrive at "slavery is okay" and "consent isn't real", coupled with viewing everything as a transaction so it's just a matter of "I should be allowed to gently caress kids if their owners agree to it and it doesn't violate the NAP". So whether they're pedos first and justifying it, or they're justifying gross human rights violations and by extension just defending pedophilia, you always reach the same point: you have to be a complete monster to be a libertarian, and the core conceit of libertarianism is you have a right to wield power over others. And it's ultimately the sick power fantasy of a very disturbed mind that views humans, children even, as products to be traded or sold.

Wow those were actually helpful, insightful answers, thank you I asked the question because I only personally know one very serious libertarian, and he is currently simultaneously awaiting divorce proceedings, as well as prison sentencing because he was busted by the FBI in a child pornography sting. So there is definitely a correlation there.
