I think this is as close to "good" as we're gonna get for Ken. He's being supportive of healthy male relationships and how they've existed in comics for a long time while also it feels like trying to brag about his run on Sonic and its influence. It's not great at all but for Ken, it's pretty good and probably one of the least problematic things he's done.

While I think Ken is in the right here, it is valid to point out that he often thinks he's the only one to have an idea. Like for example Sonic standing on a plane that Tails is piloting, which we actually get from Sonic 2 but Ken never played a Sonic game in his life so he assumes it sprung fully formed from his brow for the first time and assumed the second movie copied him.
