The one single only ever important story I remember about Chamber was how he once fell in love with a Britney Spears. I thought the sounds he made were, like, his explodey face making distorted explodey noises.

Chamber feels like one of those characters who's been around a lot but simultaneously has never done much.

Surely next time he dies, the 5 could bring him back with a tweak that let’s him have a regular face?

I feel like this was at least brought up in-comic in the Krakoa era but I could have been confusing it was discussions on here. Regardless, nothing has been done. Maybe he prefers to look badass like that now

rosenberg killed chamber off and he was brought back on krakoa. so that make it four times he's lost his face. the first time when his power manifested, a second when he was in a short lived version of weapon x where he briefly gained and then lost a new face, the third was his apocalypse face, because age of x reverted him and the change stuck. at least that time he didn't explode his own body, i guess?

Chamber's facelessness has always been psychosomatic.

Synch can synch his power without losing his face, Jono wants to be a monster. He feels guilty for putting his girlfriend in a wheelchair.

Which reminds me of the time D'Spayre attacked the school. Not the first time, when Cyclops beat him with unbridled optimism. The time Jono beat him by being unable to be made any more depressed than he already was. :v:

When I was 17, my father was so stupid, I didn't want to be seen with him in public. When I was 24, I was amazed at how much the old man had learned in just 7 years.
Chamber had a face in AoA too.

I have a soft spot for all the Gen X characters him included. I think there are a few stories where he could be pretty fun but the whole Krakoa thing seems a bit too cheery for him.

Have we seen Skin in the Krakoa era? The last we saw of him I believe he was crucified on the campus grounds.

I can't remember if we've actually seen him, but it was definitely mentioned in one of the data pages that they fast-tracked Skin's resurrection so that Synch would have a familiar face to talk to.

Judgment Day just continues to be a great event.

We get the answer to if the mutant's resurrection protocol can work on non-mutants, and the X-Men are kind of leading the whole charge in saving the world which is gonna be good for them!

I feel they can only "fix" this with a big reset button (Sinister's Costco of Moiras being the obvious choice... though maybe that's gone now?). Even in a superhero comic world where 6 million mutants were wiped out in a few pages, the level of death and destruction seems too much to realistically handle in this.

Chinston Wurchill

It's not that kind of test.
Yeah it's going to be quite an addition to the ol' resurrection queue.

No no, I'm not talking about Jason Aaron's Phoenix. The X-Men Phoenix. If you need stuff restored and brought back, that's your cosmic being for the job.

Also X-Terminators was pretty great, yeah. Just stupid fun stuff with vampire killing.

He still has them, presumably that's the setup for SoS, and Sinister wonders if he's going to survive Judgment Day this time when he gets kidnapped.

Oh Jason Aaron Phoenix would definitely just flap its fire ineffectually at thumb!Celestial for the rest of the event, but even X-Men Phoenix has always been much better at destroying things than restoring them, and I'm not sure it would be able to undo all the casualties here without some other kind of cosmic aid. Like, entire continents have to have been wiped out by now, right? It would take some timeline-reverting, M'kraan Crystal-utilizing, Scott-and-Emma-third-basing-on-Jean's-grave levels of cosmic revisions to walk back on this.

Which...could happen, I suppose? Might be easier to just take Sinister out back and shiv him. Honestly, I have no idea where this story is going next.

For all that I'm in agreement that Sinister's Moira-clones are going to come into play and probably be crucial to the leadin to S.O.S., I can't imagine them using it to hit a reset button as an ending to Judgment Day simply because that would require readers to know about what the hell that means - whether current readers who haven't been following the X-books, or later readers who are reading a collected edition.

And if that was going to happen, Gillen is a good enough writer to have dropped a less oblique reference to them in Judgment Day by now. He's not gonna reach for a cop-out like that, we're not talking about Brad Meltzer here

You don't think this is going to end with *rolls dice* Husk going insane and just walking on the Celestial's brain?

Am I supposed to know where they move the Five to? That building doesn't look like the old school. Is it an Avengers mansion or something?

Perhaps a house of one of the 1% of 1% that won't be needing it anymore.

Maybe one of the tie-ins will cover this explicitly. I just didn't know if this is some obvious Marvel location that I am just not familiar with.

I read X-Terminators and while I enjoyed it, it really felt like half of a comic book. It's a lot more fun than some of the other X books have been recently but I'm waiting for a strong narrative hook.

Maybe I'm just easily entertained, but "girls night turns into blowing up vampires in what appears to be Murder World" is a strong enough hook for me.
