If we wanted a guaranteed execution every time without fuss or muss we'd just put them on nitrogen until they asphyxiate, which by all accounts that I'm aware of feels like you just falling asleep peacefully and then you die. You probably could come up with a dosage that would instantly end the life of every human with working opiod receptors, but you can do that with lots of things in theory, and the dose is going to end up decided by committee with budget considerations in mind. If you had a system that was genuinely compassionate about human life but also needed to make large numbers of people dead because they have poor socialised behaviour, you'd just use an inert gas. You see videos of people doing hypoxia/high altitude experiments/news stories and they're always having a great time, looking drunk and dumb as poo poo, mere seconds from a death they have no ability to understand or conceive of.

I think the topic came up in this thread before, but yeah, some British guy did a documentary about more "humane" execution methods and trying to sell Americans on them, and they were completely mystified by the idea. The suffering is the point, dying is just their cue to stop for the day.

Aren't they starting to do inert gas executions in Oklahoma and some other states for humane reasons like "nobody will sell us execution drugs but we've got a ton of welding gas" or did that all go wrong?

So countless people across the country have heard from their friend that their cousin knows someone who works at a school that is infested by furries, and that the school is accommodating them by setting out litter boxes. They are absolutely sure that this is happening in their kid's school despite not a single instance of it being documented anywhere in the country, ever. Which one might be able to point out to them, for all the good it'll do. Tell me how dumb this paranoid invasive though I had is: We've all seen kids do extremely dumb stuff, and the longer this panic goes on, the more likely it is that some dipshit kid is going to do something with a litter box as an epic joke or something. It doesn't have to be that extreme, I'm just imagining hell being unleashed when a kid gets caught on camera listening to music on those gamer cat ear headphones or something.
