Yeah I really dig the design. It’s about as understated as a Ferrari can be. I’m still learning this throttle though. Accelerating slowly and smoothly is a challenge. But I’m smiling the whole time.

Ahh shame. The 360 was the last time the manual gearbox was clearly the superior option. In the 430 it's a bit more of a toss up and down to personal preference imo. You shouldnt be too afraid of it! 360s dont have a huge amount of torque so youd have to be really trying to get the rear to come out. Most of the time you see ppl losing control in these things is cuz they never get driven and are sitting on 10 year old tyres. If your mate tracks the car I'm sure it's got decent rubber on it tho (I'd still double check haha)

I remember seeing this one and remarking how clever it was. Like yeah loads of teams have done the hidden driver thing but this one was so clever.

And it has reminded me of the time some loon thought a berm on the track would be a great idea (it was) and then two guys flew right over the side whilst ironically piloting a coffin. Guy dressed as the priest was fine, other guy got piledrived into the dirt by the 'car' and ended up getting a fractured wrist and a concussion for being a hero. Up until that point they were absolutely flying. And then actually flew.

7 minutes in if it doesn't link properly.

The tracks these days are a lot straighter and have no berms unless they're backed onto hillsides.

Good to know. I definitely get more comfortable in it each time I take it out. Part of it is parAnoia that it’s not mine, part that it’s a car that I’ve never pushed to it’s limits. So I feel like I’m still feeling it out a bit but getting more confident. But it’s absolutely a blast to drive and she sure does sound nice.

As for the tires, they look quite new and he checked pressures before he handed me the keys. He also had a brand new set of tires in the garage for his other track car, so I know he keeps up with this stuff.

This past Saturday, the Hot Wheels Legends Tour came through Dallas. That car show attracts some great weird cars angling to become Hot Wheels, so I find it pretty enjoyable. Not your usual show queens. Yeah, some boring Boomers brought their bone stock C8 Corvettes, but it was mostly interesting (to me) stuff.
Gonna be a big post, so buckle up.

That would be an awesome Deora-styled vehicle. Maybe make it a van to be different.
The original Deora from the '60s (it was a real show car before it was a Hot Wheel) started life as an Dodge A100 pickup, BTW. Hatch and roof were from a Mercury wagon rear.
