The Emudeck script only makes CHDs afaik, and also whitelisted to only do it in directories for emulators that actually support CHD. So PS1, PS2, Sega CD, Saturn, Dreamcast, Xbox. Biggest exception is gonna be Dolphin, which doesn't support CHD and has their own compressed iso format instead that you need a different tool for.

it will show a popup when you start a game with achievements that says youre logged in and how many chievos there are. if you dont see one i presume youre not logged in or the rom hash doesnt match theirs etc

The Emudeck script will also convert GCN and Wii to RVZ by calling dolphin-tool. Looks like there is a maxcso binary in the github but the converter script doesn't use it at this time, so PSP is still out.

I'm getting to the point where I'm watching the dumbest Deck starter guide videos I can find and I found one that starts with "sign into Steam" which yeah dude, you need a Steam account to even buy this thing I think people could figure that out alone.

I know I've asked this before but can anyone confirm the steps they took to get Magic Arena running on the Dreck in a way that launches more than once? All the internet just says Do What I've Already Done but that only works once. And I kinda just wanna play some Wizard Poker.

Open a terminal in the folder that was created by right clicking the folder -> services -> new terminal at folder. Once the terminal opens type "make" (no quotes) and hit enter. Once that runs you should be able to run the executable by typing "./cdecrypt" (again no quotes) and pressing enter. If all that worked without error you should be able to follow the instructions from the github.

After playing around with the steam deck for a few days, I would like to say the Xbox Cloud Gaming works pretty well, if you have PC Game pass. I'm playing Mlb the Show on a steam deck, thru Xbox cloud (lol), and I don't really notice the latency. Sometimes there is lag where everything freezes and speeds up, but very playable. My only nitpick with this thing so far would be the fan. It's pretty loud when the volume of the game is not high enough to drown out the noise.

Well it's now been a week since my Steam Deck shipped and the Finnish postal service still don't have it so there's no way I'm getting it before Monday at the earliest. Then again these are the motherfuckers who literally took two weeks to deliver a priority letter 200 kilometers. It's amazing how Valve managed to just find the shittest possible options for European deliveries.

Just picked up Trombone Champ and it's already one of my favourite games on the Deck. Unfortunately after pausing the game, the gyros no longer work at all! Is there some hidden setting I'm missing? I have no idea where to start looking as the gyros are set to "Always on".
