 it only hits me now that the "OS" I used for my first computering years is pretty much identical to how most FTP GUIs are still done. of course windows explorer has a lot of it in its DNA, but with the directory list on the left shrunk down, and all this other garbage showing up in there edit: and i guess growing up with this and not using the dos command line a lot, that explains why I hate command line tools EricBauman fucked around with this message at 10:35 on Sep 29, 2022 |

still the superior way to copy files except for the stupid fuckin anydesk file copier, if you hit ctrl-a for select all it selects all the files in the folder INCLUDING the ../ at the top 🙄 which of course doesn’t make sense so it fails until you’ve unselected that “file”
