Its wild hearing "For $100" in 2022 for a game of Jeopardy. But I agree - if it's "tournament play" for the tournament, they should've just done 2 games with combined scores advancing in the next round. They've done the "two games" format in GOAT and College Championship, so it should be no big deal. And the only thing you lose is some pointless awkward "Round 2 Halfway Point Banter" and "Round 3 Awkward Banter Some More" With a "Triple Jeopardy Round" I will say - it would make sense for Mayim to say the controversial "Single Jeopardy" because in her mind its Single/Double/Triple/Final Where as I think mainline game - just leaving it out as Jeopardy/Double Jeopardy makes sense, only because it's wordplay. But they have done "Power Players Week" and other specials before, I understand wanting to "Sportify The Game" but it's really as simple as leaving the game as-is, and rooting for the returning champion, based on their stats. That being said - what's the thoughts about the "run the category" bonus? It was apparently such a "big news" that it was on primetime news, even though it was just a "i'm thinking about" on the podcast.

It's weird hearing $900 and $1500 as Jeopardy clue amounts at all. Come to think of it, why have the dollar amounts since the amounts are fixed for placement.

Per CNN, Michael Davies is considering another rule change; this one would give a cash bonus to a contestant who sweeps an entire category. Stop trying to fix what isn't broken, you dumb fucks.

They should have given a penalty for today's contestants for not knowing the Enterprise's registry number

I’m not sure why they halved the starting values for the first round for Celebrity Jeopardy. It’s all just fake money anyway, winner moves in and the runners up get a fixed amount for their charity. Just make the numbers bigger, bigger numbers are cool and you don’t even have to actually pay them out!

It's going to go back to the classroom jeopardy games where points are 1-5 then 2-10 because that means big risks in finals

There was even a category on an old game I saw recently where every clue was about a specific year, and the very last clue asked you to identify the year all the other clues were referring to.

For mine, the clue was "This designation of the Starship Enterprise was created partly because U.S. aircraft had 'NC' registrations." The correct response, of course, is "What is 'no bloody A, B, C, or D'?"

Once again we get the physics category where I'm inevitably yelling at the screen as the simplest poo poo turns into triple-stumpers......it's like making fire on Survivor: it always comes up, it's always the same very basic poo poo, maybe learn what a quark is when you get that call (the clue writers' absolute favorite physics word). Then the easiest final in a long time because who the hell can name any other famous bishop from the 20th century, especially one from Africa if you caught the Lesotho clue? It was weird combination of trivially easy and impossibly hard clues, at least for me; I blanked on most of the women in their category and my brain just did not want to wake up for the wordplay stuff.
