"Bad Habit" by Steve Lacy has hit #1 and my opinion has shifted, I think it's loving amazing, that bridge/outro is drat near perfect.

The first time I listened to it I was like "I don't like this but it's obviously going to be something I grow to like a lot", and that has indeed been the case.

This song is so loving good and it makes me want to go rollerskating. It's another loving bop and maybe one of her best tracks ever? I'm ready for the Carly Disco Revolution.

Carly shook her glass, willing the ice to melt. "You still haven't told me what the mission is."

She leaned forward. "We are going to assassinate the bad men of Hollywood."

I think this might be my favorite track from the new album yet. It’s got everything I love in a good midtempo Carly jam — a little theatrical, a little goofy, and of course, a spoken word section in the bridge. Rufus Wainwright was the perfect choice to guest for this song.

That was at Roadrunner, right? That whole area is kind of a soulless husk but it works ok for concerts.

Yeah that's a really accurate description of the area. It feels very sterile and doesn't really have public transit service which sucks, though at least the parking's not that expensive and the venue itself was pretty decent.

Yeah it sucks except that it works. The bar down the street is very artificial and kinda sucks, but it’s perfect for a bar next to a concert hall. I don’t like the venue but I would happily go to many concerts there.

Public transit would suck in the rain. It must be 4 blocks to the green line so you can wait outside for a train. Parking is easy though.

I still love the irony of Dove Cameron going from a movie where she tried to steal a girl's boyfriend, to a song where she tries to steal a dude's girlfriend

"Tell that to Zod's snapped neck!"

Two very different very good albums came out this last week

Willow might be the most exciting artist on the planet and her new album hits a lot of mid-2000s rock notes, both in the emo sense and the Strokes-esque sense
https://youtu.be/r1kPDvRtCAc

Chloe Moriando has been around for a minute but she’s made a jump to hyper-pop (songs on this album sound like Charli or more accurately a less-obnoxious Ashnikko)

Lineup is indeed stacked, though it remains to be seen how the inaugural one this year will go. When it got announced, it seemed like it could potentially be a Fyre Fest lite type experience. It happens later this month, so I guess we'll see.

All those bands must look ancient. They even call attention to it with the name. They feel old, you feel old, get a sitter for your teenage kids and go to Vegas to see old rear end Green Day. Saves the day still rules though

There’s some good, unique stuff on California where at least they’re trying, absolutely nothing worth hearing twice on the other Skiblink album. This is closer to the latter, just paint by numbers modern Blink.
