I've got a real life mate I don't get to see much irl these days, but we play rocket league a few times a week and the tournaments are great. sadly we've never won one together but I did win a diamond one once with some random. we were chatting in between games and he was some dutch guy, very friendly. he said he was champ 2 rank, and I was only diamond 2 at the time. but he was like, "hey man you play well you can make it to champ." then i finally made it to champ this season in ranked 2v2 and drat these games are hard now! I feel like every mistake gets dunked on instantly. I need to stick to casual when I'm smerkin weedz.

Also I’ve never once heard anyone talk in Rocket League, on psn or xbl. Maybe I need to enable that… And yeah, I’m starting to see that when I score, it’s only because someone else hosed up something basic, not because I’m good. Watching people juggle the ball in midair and kick it back and forth never letting the ball hit more than once on the ground is…exhausting to keep up with Like you, I get past tipsy/Stoney and suddenly I’m trash. There really needs to be an industry standard ‘stoner and drunks only’ matchmaking, maybe by detecting how often someone sings?

Basically pros and people who are good enough to keep up with them. They release the rank distribution numbers inbetween every season and I can't remember exactly but I think the average rank is the high gold to low platinum ranks. I can't do all the super fancy stuff but I think I'm close to 1000 hours now in the last 5 or so years and I've only just made it to champion 1 recently. Every time I decide I'm gonna learn to air dribble or something I last 10 minutes before I get bored and just want to play the normal game. re: booze and weed there's a perfect level imo when I'm just inebriated enough to play naturally without overthinking anything and I end up dong great. then it's like one extra joint and I'm absolute garbage just driving around the pitch missing the ball everytime while everyone else plays the match lol incase you can't tell I love rocket league <3

what does 2% at 62 mean? is that age 62 and using 2% of your retirement account per year as income? that's very conservative. most retirement calculators use like 4% or 3.5%. maybe that's not what the numbers mean though.

Understanding Your Retirement Formula Your benefit factor, also known as age factor, is the percentage of pay to which you are entitled for each year of service. It is determined by your age at retirement and the retirement formula that applies to your classification. Log in to your myCalPERS account at my.calpers.ca.gov for information on determining which formula applies to you. You can refer to your CalPERS Annual Member Statement to verify your retirement formula. If you have questions, call us at 888 CalPERS (or 888-225-7377). Reading the Retirement Formula Charts We have included two charts related to the state miscellaneous and industrial retirement formula 2% at 62. The chart below shows how the benefit factor increases for each quarter year of age from 50 to 67. hmm, ok, it's something different. i don't know what "percentage of pay for each year of service" means. do you just multiply the percentage by the number of you years you worked? so like, if you worked 30 years and the percentage is 2%, you get 60% of your pay from the pension? i'm not lucky enough to have a pension, so no clue. what i'm used to seeing for retirement calculation is that you start by figuring out how much money you think you need each year in retirement (before taxes), subtract whatever you expect to get from social security each year, and then divide the rest by 0.04 (or whatever percentage) and that will tell you the total amount you need to have saved in a 401k and other savings to retire. then you would withdraw about 4% of your portfolio each year. according to historical analysis that's a fairly safe bet and you won't run out of money before you croak, assuming the future isn't worst than the past (which is obviously a totally safe assumption as there are no looming disasters on the horizon that will ruin the global economy)

lol okay you made me actually figure out how this works. So you can retire at 52 and then the pension you receive is 1% times the number of years you have worked (so retire at 52 after working 5 years total you get 5%) For every year you work over the age of 52 that the % goes up by 0.1 so by 62 you get 2% x total years worked. if you work to 67 you'll get 2.5% x total years, etc

My nephew talked me into it and it's fun to play with him. I do co-op 100%. Never even tried pvp. It's nice because sometimes late at night you can get a crew that really works together and communicates. It's super laid back and I love being as positive as I can to everyone. I've played like 100 hours and haven't heard a single slur. Dead serious.
