The most important one is the food supply. Millions of actually starving Americans would breed something worthy of a George Romero horror movie.

So many suburban Americans would turn to cannibalism without a second thought, only to burn down their own homes because they have no idea how to cook.

Down to 30% chance of precipitation on Monday and now we have this:

Environment Canada posted:

12:04 PM PDT Sunday 09 October 2022
Special weather statement in effect for:

East Vancouver Island - Courtenay to Campbell River
East Vancouver Island - Duncan to Nanaimo
East Vancouver Island - Nanoose Bay to Fanny Bay

Windy conditions are forecast to begin Monday afternoon for the South Coast.

Timespan: Monday near noon through Monday night.

Location: The South Coast.

Threat: Wind gusts to 60 km/h may toss loose objects and cause drought-weakened tree branches to break. These may give rise to injuries, damage, or power outages.

Remarks: A cold front will sweep through the South Coast Monday afternoon bringing our first wind event of the season. Northwest winds 40 km/h gusting 60 can be expected and will be strongest near the water and along the frontal passage. Conditions will ease Monday night as the front exits the province.

Little to no precipitation accumulation is expected during this time.

Yep, our first storm of the season is going to a rainless wonder from the northwest. The drought continues, as does watering the garden. Cool and normal.

Does look like a pattern shift happening around Oct 20-22, should get the Pacific Northwest into somewhat wetter weather.

No you didn’t really miss anything, kids. Probably was a mistake for it to be there in the first place and it certainly didn’t work very hard to justify trying to keep it around
