if you're Jewish you're Jewish. That's literally how it works, you can be culturally Jewish, religiously Jewish, both, neither but come from a Jewish background, what the gently caress ever. It's literally one of our biggest sins to question someone else's statement of faith and the conversion process is built around the assumption that if you are drawn to being Jewish your soul is Jewish and it's not mortals' place to question a genuine effort. Like, this is pretty central to Jewish culture, some poo poo isn't our problem. If you're a 'fake Jew' I have no way to prove that in a satisfying way and even if I did...so fuckin what? I'm not God, I can't do poo poo to you about your soul! Same goes for the other way, if you feel you're not really connected to Judaism despite having family who is that's fine, respect your family and yourself and any questions of what's 'right' or 'wrong' spiritually are for heaven to sort out not rando gossips.

Anyway I remember liking some of those bands and some singles from others of those bands when I was a preteen and early teen but, like, not in a way that particularly makes me want to relive it I think it's specifically for elder millennials who, like, were fully out of their awkward age when Blink 182 were a thing

tonight I watched The Forever Purge which asks the question: what if people didn't stop doing the purge when the designated purge time is over? The answer is that White Nationalists would use the opportunity to kill all non-whites, according to the movie. The movie is framed through the journey of two Mexican immigrants to America because I guess they forgot America does The Purge now. Well, The Purge happens, and then it keeps happening, and long story short the Purge-based US state collapses and they move back to Mexico. I give it 3.5 stars, mildly socialist.
