Ghostrunner or GOTG?

Take Ghostrunner, GOTG is a story game that wants you to pay attention to people having conversations and character development in between the combat.

Ghostrunner on the other hand looks like an arcadey minimal dialogue mostly gameplay kind of thing.

Nice! Everyone should have a chance to play Dragon Quest XI S. It’s a lot of fun, and a deeply enjoyable Platinum for anyone into that sort of thing.

Did DQB1 have the blueprints thing where you can just lay out a building and your buddies do the building or was that new for DQB2?

I just remember bouncing hard off DQB1 not very far in because at that point it was basically Minecraft and I cba with that poo poo.

DQB2 on switch kept me entertained forever though. So good. Even that one level everyone hates.

DQ11 is foolproof. It's a game that gives you a recap whenever you load your save. And also the current objective is always on the map.

Edit again: Oh so it's the house from that PT demo okay cool :gonk:

For controls, consider remappimg stuff so you never have to take your thumbs off the sticks. So dash and jump on a bumper. I hated it at first but after adapting it made a big difference

Farewell, good Hunter. May you find your worth in the waking world.

Finished Hardspace:Wokebreaker and I liked it a lot. Although the ending was a bit thick (if not disgustingly realistic). If you recently finished Hardspace and moved on to Cyberpunk or any Activision/EA/Ubisoft game you’re a loving mess inside, just saying.

I picked Tunic back up. A few weeks ago when it came out, it did not really grab me at first, even after ringing the east forest bell. I just felt very lost and didn’t know what to do. But once I picked it back up I explored a bunch and I found the magic staff and shield, and lantern, and things seemed to really get rolling after that. Then, the game just loving hooked me when I got a few more manual pages and learned that, all along, there were a certain few very powerful and crazy things I was capable of, hiding right under the surface! The ability to hold X and rest/make music to awaken the obelisks was a manual page I got that gave me pause, and I thought to myself.. wait a minute what if I do that on one of the weird yellow pads scattered about.. and hoolllyyy shiiiiit was I blown away. I can’t express enough how much my jaw dropped. I’ve basically been playing it nonstop since then. Too many secrets, Marty…

This game is a drat near perfect, platinum tier, mix of Zelda and dark souls. I beat the west garden boss and it took me several tries. Man, barely won, but I did. It felt identical to beating father gascione or something. I think the component of self-discovery and exploration in this via the manual and discovering all these weird powers/abilities you have at your disposal is done better than many dark souls games themselves. Secrets are more clear..but unclear until you discover a clue in the manual. Often a clue that’s been there on one page for quite a while only to be “unmasked” by a reference on a different page. Also I love how the first time I met the shopkeeper I didn’t know what was happening and fled in panic, only to chill out and go back in a few hours later to my surprise lol. What a creative ingenious idea these devs have.

My only gripe is I wish/hope? That there is something you get that translates the manual. I know people have done it online. It’s just that I feel I’m missing out on lore and story and backstory here because I can’t read any of it. I hate that feeling of missing out on that stuff. I get that it’s like the point of it all, but still.

Also re souls-likes just gonna leave this here:

Hell yes. I've been waiting for someone to hit this point, that's where I got hooked too. I love a game that trusts the player to figure things out while balancing carefully to ensure that experience is fun, and Tunic is one of the finest examples I can come up with. And it still has tricks up its sleeve, your jaw is gonna drop a few more times. That manual is gonna stick in my mind forever. I really wish the publisher would sell it as official merch, I'd buy a copy in a heartbeat.

Full list of upcoming changes

Red Dead Redemption 1 (PS3 version, streaming only) is apparently being removed on October 17th

A special note: they're adding what appears to be the entire back catalog of Assassin's Creed games. This includes the games which are buggy on PS5 (AC Syndicate and two of the AC Chronicles titles). These titles are listed as "Available on PS4 only" which is a bit cryptically worded. My hunch is that these games will be streamable online from a PS5 with the PS+ Premium plan, but not downloadable locally (they still will be available for download on PS4 and PS4 Pro).

New games on Tuesday October 18th

PS+ Extra, Deluxe and Premium

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City - The Definitive Edition (PS4 and PS5 versions)
Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age – Definitive Edition | PS4
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey | PS4 (runs at 30fps on PS4 but 60fps on PS5)
Dragon Quest Builders | PS4
Dragon Quest Builders 2 | PS4
Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree’s Woe and the Blight Below | PS4
Dragon Quest Heroes II: Explorer’s Edition | PS4
Inside | PS4
The Medium | PS5
Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker | PS4
Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China | PS4
Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China | PS4
Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India | Only downloadable and locally playable on PS4 and PS4 Pro consoles, might be streamable from PS5 consoles with a PS+ Premium Plan
Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: Russia | Only downloadable and locally playable on PS4 and PS4 Pro consoles, might be streamable from PS5 consoles with a PS+ Premium Plan
Assassin’s Creed III Remastered | PS4
Assassin’s Creed Syndicate | Only downloadable and locally playable on PS4 and PS4 Pro consoles, might be streamable from PS5 consoles with a PS+ Premium Plan
Hohokum | PS4

PS+ Deluxe and Premium

Yakuza 3 Remastered | PS4
Yakuza 4 Remastered | PS4
Yakuza 5 Remastered | PS4

PS+ Premium titles, streaming only

Limbo | PS3
Ultra Street Fighter IV | PS3 (PS4 port which has post-launch fixes and is "tournament standard" also exists digitally, but isn't available via PS+ currently)
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow | PS3
Everyday Shooter | PS3

Hell yeah!! Gonna play me some dq11, some castlevania and street fighter lets go!!

And yes, Chiang is incredible. I’d be hard pressed to choose a single favorite, but I’d rate all of his stories on a scale of “extremely good” to “loving incredible.”

I feel similarly about Villeneuve, so it’s cool he took charge of the adaptation.

Yeah, I'd read Chiang well prior to Villaneuve's announcement that he was adapting, so when he announced he was making a movie about an unknown story that seemed unfilmable I was thinking..."who does that?"

Villaneuve is king. He may not make the most complex/audience alienating films...but the dude takes risks in mainstream cinema that nobody else is doing.

Not sure if I'm asking in the correct spot but any help is appreciated
We just bought a PS5 yesterday and am having trouble getting the downloaded PS Plus games to work on our other non-PS PLUS-subscribed profile.
We've made sure to enable the Console Sharing and Offline Play on the PS PLUS-subscribed account and then restored licenses.
We've tried both disabling and enabling Console Sharing and Offline Play on the alternate account but cannot access the downloaded games on that profile still. We've powered off and powered on the console as well as setting up that alternate profile as a Family Member for the PS+ account.
I'm not quite sure what we're missing

When I click on the downloaded games on the alternate profile, there's a little lock icon up top.
If I try to start the game, it'll bring up the product page and show the price of the game to buy it and then the PS+ Subscribe button

EDIT: After doing some more research, it might be an issue with the fact that we're doing the 7 Day trial for the PS+. Will try to go ahead, cancel the trial and see if that solves the issue
