Yeah he wasn't blackmailed, he was just an idiot who thought he could talk to Putin, a notorious bad actor, and make a deal. The best part is he didn't even try to negotiate with Putin, he just basically took Putin's demands verbatim and repeated them framing them as the same peace plan Ukraine was offered in February Because he wants to be Mister Deals like big daddy Trump.
