Him and May were at least stable enough not to get caught partying during a pandemic or crash the pound in your first week of the job.

It really is a weird world where Cameron would look to be a relatively decent option but lets not remember that the past 12 years of horror began with him and Austerity 1.0 was horrific in its own right...

Liz's press conference at the moment is comedy gold, she went to the far-right papers for softball early questions and literally three questions in a row have been asking why she won't resign

Tesseraction
Apr 5, 2009

Fourth question was Robert Peston, which she pronounced Pest. ON for some reason, who asked if she'd apologise for completely destroying the Tory reputation for economic competence and she gave a meandering answer, abruptly finished the question and ran out of the room. I think she was going to cry

No! 219 is a lovely number!

219 is a happy number.[1]
Mertens function(219) = 4, a record high.[2]
There are 219 partially ordered sets on four labeled elements.[3]
219 is the smallest number that can be represented as a sum of four positive cubes in two different ways.[4]
There are 219 different space groups, discrete and full-dimensional sets of symmetries of three-dimensional space or of crystal structures.

i get that people are craving stability but everything that's happened in the last half decade is the bill coming due for cameron's incompetence, brexit is minor speedbump compared to taking an axe to the uk economy during a historically low growth period

Apparently it is to illustrate that paintings are worth less than a human life.

Which, like, yes I agree with, but I don't know that you're going to get many other people to agree with it and I don't think it makes much sense as a way to communicate it.

Truss's press conference has 'hastened her demise' - Tory MP

Chris Mason
Political editor

There was astonishment among reporters that the news conference was so short - not least the prime minister’s reluctance to take many questions.

Of course journalists want to ask questions. It matters for reasons of accountability.

But it also matters for her in terms of credibility among her MPs and in the financial markets.

Plenty of reassurance is needed and it’s not obvious that that will have done the job.

One Tory MP texted me immediately afterwards:

"I voted for Liz but I think she just appointed her successor. Awful. Sadly think that hastened her demise."

I think we might have beaten 'new pork markets'

I'm sure fully half the group are undercover cops at this point, but that doesn't necessarily preclude complete stupidity on behalf of the non-cop activists. Fortunately the painting was behind glass and undamaged.
