It was the Saw movies but they could only do it using Contraptions.

it would be very difficult to do a UB for star wars, due to the very strict no guns rule. You could probably do a secret lair with the most popular Jedi and Sith though. Star Trek might be easier since you don't have to depict phasers, you can just use scanners instead, and depict Klingons wielding melee weapons

I just wanted new pilot tokens with dumb pictures from Gundam and Eva that my friends made for me, rather than have a million of the same boring one that came out in kamigawa. Fine, no requesting a website but I'll find somewhere to make these totally copyright infringing things

UB are allowed guns, and for normal sets they follow what's known as the Batman rule where things that look like guns but don't shoot bullets don't count as guns, and neither do cannons.

Anyone surprised about guns in Magic is forgetting one thing: the only thing that matters at Wizards is making as much money as physically possible and putting it in a giant pile to look at. So, all those things about having "principles" or "creative choices" have been discarded or never existed. Next up: Remington Secret Lair. Introduces the Weapon-Mod artifact type, which you equip to your equipment to Tacticlol your Loxodon Warhammer with a 2X glass. There's a QR code on the token goes to a Blackwater recruitment seminar. If you sign up, you get a new Legendary mercenary (mono-white, of course).

i have been charged upfront for SL.. i did order a bunch of them though. https://secretlair-support.wizards.com/hc/en-us/articles/5145570083860-Secret-Lair-FAQ Most customers will not be billed for preorders during checkout. Instead, we'll bill most customers shortly before their order is ready to ship. Before they're charged, customers will be notified at their provided email address. Certain very large orders may have their payment collected during checkout. edit2: that dude ordered $500 worth of cards so i'm pretty sure thats because he bought $500 edit3: apparently people are being charged for smaller orders too now Strong Sauce fucked around with this message at 18:49 on Oct 17, 2022 |

Simply Simon posted:I honestly fail to see the difference between "gun that shoots bullets" and "gun that shoots lasers" but I guess I'm not American so I don't know poo poo about guns There's functionally no difference, this particular distinction is just one of those lies that Americans tell ourselves to avoid having to confront the fact that as a culture we are indoctrinated into gratuitous, indulgent violence from the moment we're born. Any 5 year old American child could tell you that guns and lasers both serve the same purpose - to make bad people/things go away - except one involves bright colorful lights and the other doesn't. No one would blink an eye if WotC started calling projectile weapons "guns" instead of arcspitters or whatever, the hesitance to do so probably has more to do with branding and the classification of MTG as a "children's game" more than any moral or ethical reasoning.
