what do you think Tom Hanks represents to you? is it your judgmental father? could he have staggered off bug eyed into the night, leaving you and your mother to fend for yourselves?

So what's the process on collecting the money from Jones. Has his accounts been drained yet, did the government show up to collect his cars to auction off, kicked him out of his house? Making him show where he buried gold bars in his backyard?

They haven't even assigned punative damages yet. Give it another month and he'll probably owe two billion.

There's no real limit, but it's usually relative to compensation. A quick Google suggests it doesn't usually exceed like 4x. With damages this big they probably won't exceed the compensation.

Norm was on infowars saying it would probably be another bill with around $400k in reimbursed legal fees.

The best part about that, and I REALLY loving WISH I could clip it for this thread, was Norm straight up asking the judge "Do you think we can get this done by tomorrow? I need to be in NEW YORK for a MURDER TRIAL, (and I don't want my client to be without council at that time.)"

Legitimately stunned. It was a day or two before closing arguments.

But the one thing I really wish we could get around to talking about is that issue of "We have no money, zero assets, we are broke and bankrupt" bullshit.

https://news.bitcoin.com/alex-jones-lost-laptop-10000-bitcoins/

Now, this was in...2021. And I don't trust him enough to say, ACTUALLY LOSE THAT MUCH MONEY. He isn't entirely incompetent, if it was simply a laptop and the key to the address with that much coin on it. Because 10,000 BTC is currently $191,581,000. On a wallet he supposedly lost with a laptop.

The great thing about the blockchain is that those 10,000 BTC are forever stuck...unless someone moves them. Every loving three letter agency probably has the cash marked and if anyone tries to shift it around, bam, money laundering for over 1 million dollars.

And the guy who sent him the 10,000 BTC, Max Keiser, could testify that he did, in fact, send Jones that crypto, and it was received.

When I think about Bitcoin, Ether and Crypto, they're absolutely horrific atrocities most of the time. But right now, Alex Jones (presumably still) has $191 Million that he literally cannot access because it'd be breaking a lot of laws (failure to disclose finances, possibly wire fraud, definitely not going into any bank account he'd own because they'd be seized immediately)...and I think, just maybe, this was what crypto is really for: loving over rich dicks like Alex Jones.

IIRC, the way he ended up in prison finally was because he went to Vegas to sign autographs and sell some of his memorabilia for money - money that should have gone to the Goldmans. When the Goldman's confronted him on it, OJ basically pulled them into a hotel room and drew a gun on them? Or maybe he threatened them with his acting. Either way, OJ was trying to pull some poo poo that I 100% believe AJ would pull.

nah. its even more schadenfreude

so basically what happened was as a part of the way to try and escape the civil lawsuit judgment, OJ did try to shield himself a bit more

step 1 as discussed was moving to Florida which worked out wellish

step 2 was trying to hide whatever wealth he could

so for step 2, he had his former sports agent basically load up a bunch of moving vans with his memorabilia from his house and then basically hid a bunch of his poo poo in various storage rentals and other places to wait for things to die down

at some point in the process of waiting for his agent kind of got tired of working with OJ and kind of started selling all of OJ's poo poo on the side

OJ couldn't really make too much of a fuss about it or else it would have been immediately seized and sold at auction to the families, so this basically went on for years

so the Las Vegas robbery happened because a memorabilia dealer supposedly got a hold of a bunch of this poo poo that the agent took, and wanted to sell it

so the dealer called another dealer who was an informant and friends with OJ and tells OJ about the stuff, and then calls the FBI about OJ wanted to tape the confrontation on getting it back a few weeks before this all goes down

OJ and a bunch of his friends all travel to Las Vegas for a wedding party of a friend, and basically has the second dealer set up a private viewing of all the stuff while they're in Vegas and supposedly has the second dealer set it up so there's a tape of it

OJ and his buddies get hammered at a bachelor party, go to the casino where the dealers are at, and at gunpoint have the dealers all shovel the merchandise and some pete rose autographs into bags and pillowcases, at which point they all leave and go back to their hotel

then they go to their friends wedding and a day later all get arrested because all of this poo poo was on casino security cameras

then the dealer decides to sell the tape to TMZ and ends up getting immunity

As long as the fan retains ownership, no. It's not the fan's debt to pay. However, it could be argued that since AJ doesn't have any living expenses (or has very few assuming said fan doesn't also buy his food) that the normal cap of 50% of disposable income meant for keeping a roof over your head, getting to work etc doesn't apply.

This is also the type of thing that for the owner has a very high chance of causing some sort of legal trouble in the "you're not under arrest but you do have to answer this summons where you'll be questioned about exactly how and why Alex Jones is living in your house for free" sense. I think even among chuds who are Alex Jones fans, that's really sticking your neck out and well beyond what most people rich enough to have a whole extra house would do.

Alex Jones is very much legally toxic right now, any sort of activity you do with him especially any sort of financial handout has a non-zero chance of getting you roped into his mess, and I don't think Alex Jones has truly close friends willing to take that chance.
