When the current drama started with calling Plinkey a degenerate gambler, mocking the people asking for help for clearly being undeserving and calling anyone contributing to the fund slacktivist rubes for believing the fund was helping people (which it has unquestionably, the only thing in doubt is if it has to the degree it could or should), acting like everyone has been motivated by concerns about Ethics In Charity Management is flatly false. That is why all of this has been so loving irritating for someone uninvolved with any side of the fund because any real discussion is significantly more adversarial, even outside of the blatant trolling.
