Morgana's simping for Ann is kinda gross but also it's just simping, he never really gets into making sexually harassing comments the way Teddy does. Also Teddy eventually gets a human body and could like, potentially act on his weird poo poo which makes it worse. Morgana's a cat though so at worst it just comes off as pathetic and annoying. Hell even in the third semester when he temporarily becomes human, there's thankfully zero scenes of him trying to put the moves on Ann.

I am told his irritation quotient goes up by an order of magnitude if you date Ann so it really feels like he's going super Nice Guy and you can't do anything about it. Eh, the game only really addresses the social links in very few locations, and even in the few locations where it does address you dating Ann, he's more sad than anything else.

In Persona 4 I'll never date Naoto because I wouldn't do my boy Kanji dirty like that. In Persona 5 I'd date Ann just to spite Morgana, but am stopped by the fact that Ann's kinda boring and it's clear the writers barely knew what to do with her as early as the conclusion of the second palace.

Ann could have had a cool social link about growing up biracial in a society that is very much not that but it ends up being a little about that a little about her friend and then mainly modeling for some reason and just kind of sucks. She was such a mishandled character.

I had the exact same thoughts about Naoto in my first run of P4G. I remember being eh about Ann, liking some things, hating others. Loved Haru. Makoto was the real disappointment because she was the one everyone raved about early on and she's voiced by Cherami Leigh. Total waste of Ms. Leigh's talents.

Ann is the best character in P5 even after all of the uncomfortable sexualization immediately after her chapter ends. I like how she really throws herself into the Phantom Thievery because it’s the first time in a while she’s had a group of friends and her life tends to be pretty isolating. Between her parents not being around, her job encouraging competition between peers, her racial identity and beauty both making her an outsider at school and socially, she really doesn’t get a lot of healthy interaction with others, and that’s before you get into her best friend being sent to the hospital and transferring to another school in another city. The scenes after Futaba wakes up where Ann immediately takes on a big sister role for her since neither of them have siblings are very sweet The game doesn’t always do her justice but Ann rules. Ryuji is a really effective "best bro" character and bounces perfectly off of Joker being a plank of wood most of the time. I really like his arc of letting the Thieves stuff go to his head in a natural teenage boy sort of way until the reality of the situation hits him like a ton of bricks and he has to accept that he hosed up hard and learn from it. Granted this is more less a specific complaint about Ann and more a general complaint that once Futaba and Makoto join up they get way too much focus relative to the rest of the group. Her S.Link is also kinda mediocre writing-wise imo.

It's really cool that they added new stuff in Royal but that S-Link is a stretch. At this point I'm expecting a bathroom scene where you meet a janitor and then it flashes forward to "No one could have kept up these criminal actions without having to poop. Someone must have cleaned your toilets! Give me a name!" and then the El Custodio card comes up.

Maruki spots the phantom dorks because their grasp of operational security is terrible - which it is. He then put himself in a position to get to know them. It makes more sense that someone would do this than that all the adults were "Aha! You tipped your hand!"

Either use weaker attacks to get their health low for surrender (i.e. gun) or use elemental items that do a fixed amount of damage but hit their weakpoint. Nonetheless, for some Personas in the wild, you will have to fuse them as they may be resistance in either methods.
