Can you get any more 90's than a Nagel-inspired painting of Cindy Crawford? It's kinda huge, 24in x 36in And signed by the artist

Yet another retro gaming system, the RP3+ preorder dropped today and I threw one in: Plays everything up to some GC and PS2 games, plus streaming services. Should hold me over for 1-2 months until something better comes out.

Picked up a few new books, including my preorder for the book from Practical Engineering and an old menu book as well as recipes from the Dead Rabbit: Excited to compare and contrast the Practical Engineering Guide with the 99% invisible field guide:

If the city is 99% invisible that seems like a much better value than Engineering in Plain Sight which presumably only covers the remaining 1%

There is absolutely zero reason for me to be buying any retro handhelds, especially because I already have a few anbernic devices and a modded 2ds and a Bluetooth telescopic controller for my infinitely more powerful flagship phone and a laptop that can emulate almost every retro game perfectly fine. But this looks so cool and I want it!!!! Turns out the actual gameplay was purchasing and hoarding different devices all along

Been very much enjoying it so far as well! I'm a sucker for this kind of stuff, one of my favorite classes in high school was when our biology teacher would get off topic and spend the entire class talking about stuff like how our water system worked. Probably learned more there than the rest of my classes combined ElZilcho posted:

Impulse bought an AMD Ryzen 5 5600 processor. It was 135 bux which is stupid cheap for something like this. I have a 3600 and AMD kept the AM4 socket going so this would just be a drop in upgrade. 20% increase in single core performance for that much isn't too shabby. Plus I got a couple fans from a goon in SA Mart so I've been meaning to open up my case anyway.

Yeah judging from Techmoan’s video those things are really good for what I would’ve expected to be a cheap nostalgia cash grab.

Speaking of Techmoan. I went down the rabbithole of buying MiniDisc Players. I had one in the early 2000s and loved it. I'm not good with money.

Also sound burger is the coolest name ever.
