I never had that Alley Viper myself but my brother did. I just loved guys with shields so I was always swiping it.

Edit: so i'm thinking maybe do a villains shelf opposite the heroes. I don't have much display space at the moment so I want to maximize what i can have up. But there's not really any Voltron villains out there. Any ideas?

Shame it's likely gonna be out of scale with my Figma Ulala otherwise it'd have been perfect...

Eels were relatively normal looking frogmen with a boxy helmet, the thing you're thinking of was like a specialist deep sea diver viper (Thew voice: "diviper?") with the funky red mask and black lagoon style flippers and poo poo...

..Hyrdro-Viper! They were weird fellas, the file card said they had funky poo poo in their blood to stop it freezing at deep depths and whatever.

The Eel was the guy who came with the robot shark that fired a missile from its mouth, which I liked better than the actual figure. That was from when they were all into neon colored everything.

My favorite GI Joe figure by a wide margin was the Range Viper:

There was SO much to like about that figure. I think it was the first one I actually sought out for myself, I never collected that toy line outside a few random guys picked up at yard sales over the years, but a friend showed me that guy and I had to go get one, and that was when I actually took an interest in GI Joe. That yellow Alley Viper was soon after. Those two were my favorites.

Googling for that picture brought up an article saying they are planning Range Viper for Classified next year!

The eel and the buzz lightyear looking Joe were top tier bath toys for me as a kid. Even if the bubble helmet guy could only move his arms. And his feet were broken off.

Edit: this was the eel I had

I had the blue Eel, and a purple one if I recall correctly. Don't know if I had a shark for either of them. Most of my Joe's came from garage sales and the like, so it's been interesting to see the accessories they should have had through the years.

Somehow I got the croc master WITH his crocodile from a thrift store or something, I definitely didn't find that guy new but he was great.

So many of those characters I never knew the names of, because so many of my GI Joes were garage sale finds plus I never watched the show. Even ones I bought new I would generally toss the packaging without really paying attention to it. Most of my collection were just mystery characters, and I was fine with that. I'd come up with my own stories. Now I see these new figures coming out and 9 times out of 10 my reaction is "so that's what that guy was called."

I haven't seen an ML at a Walgreens in months. Maybe they'd be better off just selling them online.

Same for me. My local Walgreens never has any of the exclusives, so waiting a few extra days for online shipping is a no-brainer.

Nerd Of Prey

One by one, the local Walgreens stores updated the website to say the item was out of stock as I tried ordering it for pickup. If nothing else, I'm keeping them honest and may have saved some other collectors the trouble.

I ordered ship-to-store this morning and got a shipping notification pretty shortly after. Again, I'm way out in the boonies here so I don't know how long the thing might take to actually show up, but I feel better knowing I'll at least probably get one. If I'd done that to begin with, I might have the thing in hand already for all I know.

I wonder if the wave breakdowns will remain the same to extend how many waves they’ll get out of the license?

2 Bridge/Main character
1 Recurring
1 “Enemy”

Q has to be coming at some point, so I could see Wave 2 being like Picard, Troi, Q, and Barclay or something. Two Bridge crew per would give them at least four waves, maybe five if you include Wesley, Ro, O’Brien, etc.

The KOs are 90% terrible, the main thing they have going for them might be replacement pegs for those earlier figures that had QC issues (Comic Paint Spidey, I'm lookin' at you!). As for Carnage, they've already did him a couple of years back:

I’m glad Data comes with his cat. Every toy that comes with a cat gets bonus points.

I’m not a big enough TNG fan to buy any of these but cyborg Patrick Stewart is tempting. It’s likely they will add more accessories to him later, not guaranteed, but they don’t always have them 100% figured out when they first post preview images.

Really hoping for the TOS crew eventually.
