Part of this game's genius is putting you up against piss-easy bots for a dozen hours to make you feel good. I get why they did it but my partner feels like it is boring to them at this point and not that complicated.

She’s good in a Kazoo deck where those Squirrels could be 5 power if you can stack Ka-zar/Blur Marvel/Onslaught in the same zone.

They're also good targets for Carnage once you get him in pool 2, or Patriot in Pool 3. So, like most of the cards in the game, all depends on how you build.

Prepare to be disappointed when you advance eight Collection Levels and unlock... Carnage.

Am I right in thinking the first cosmetic upgrade level (frame break) provides a better credit: collection level value, but after that every level is the same value? So it's nice to hit the first upgrade on everything but after that it doesnt matter which cards you dump your credits on?

Correct with one caveat, there is a weekly seasonal quest (that has apparently been in every season so far) to upgrade a card X amount of times, which is going to be easier to do if you have more low-level cards. However maxing out a card's rarity "splits" it into a new common version of the card with an additional cosmetic effect, so you'll never be in a situation where there's nothing you can upgrade edit: post-fight boosters are always biased towards going to your common rarity cards, too, so if you need a couple collection points you can just make a deck with all your greys

What are the limits in constructing a deck?" I tried to fiddle around with it and got one of those warning/error signs but no explanation as to what the error was with my desk construction.

I’m consistently bouncing up and down between ranked rewards levels 30 and 32. I win some games (probably against bots) and get up to 32 and then lose a bunch in a row back to 30. Rinse and repeat. I like this game but I am terrible at it. I keep playing though.

As someone around the same level as you (but I'm in pool 2, not sure about you) I climbed up in the past day from 29/30 to 38/39. My novice advice is: * Be ready to retreat at all times. Retreating is often less bad than completely losing. (For instance losing 1 cube instead of 2, or if they Snap and you're not completely confident you're losing 1 if you do it during the turn they snap or just 2 later if you pressed your luck compared to a whole 4). Sometimes people snap on turn 1 and I'm like "yeah, how would you know" and they absolutely drew what they wanted. Hulk at 12 is a simple comparison I use when I have no idea what they'll play, but sometimes you can tell if certain 6 drops will come (like Odin, for instance). This won't work for all decks but I'm liking using White Queen since she's 4cost/6power and gives you a copy of the highest cost card in your opponent's hand. Sometimes I don't even use the card but it gives me final turn info to make some other decisions on. On the flipside--taking instead of giving advice: I haven't landed on a full strat for spacing out my cards between locations. Sometimes I end up with a rock/paper/scissors situation where I don't know where to use my pre-final or final turn cards. Advice welcome, please and thank you. Strategic retreat is huge for progression. If you retreat at 1 cube snaps 7 times, but get the double snap win for 8, you're still positive. Once you're past 100, it's all pretty meaningless, though. I've been sitting at about 115 for a while because I've been taking snaps I shouldn't for fun.

Gave this game a go. It's fantastic. Although it feels like I win 90% of my games, so maybe I'm still in the bot zone. Did anyone else in the UK avoid this for way too long simply because a card game with 'snap' in the title suggests something very different and very poo poo?

It’s fun to win with retreats by playing nightcrawler to Bar Sinister and snapping. I tend to do that if I lack the full combo. Also had another player run the full combo alongside me, creating a perfect tie. Many Spider-Man Pointing emotes were spammed

I did the "move one Nightcrawler off Bar Sinister, play Blue Marvel, snap" move while betting real hard that I was gonna draw Onslaught in the last round and my opponent called my bluff.

Bots don’t emote, so if you can check by doing a Hello or something. Bots also do weird poo poo like committing to a location where they’re up 20 points or play an Odin to trigger their Hawkeye over White Tiger or something weird. I wish they were just honest about it and indicated if they were bots.
