I was being sarcastic, but honestly the one thing that might save him is that rich people money is imaginary and they can be making negative $1 billion a year for some indeterminate amount of time before it comes due and twitter evaporates. It's like Bitcoin, you just have to have a really high IQ to understand it. Elon's a genius who definitely knows what he is doing.
