Squirrel Girl, Dr. Doom, Ultron, and the guy who summons rocks at each location for both players all generate vanilla cards off the top of my head. I've run into the deck a few times and it seems pretty strong

Does Grand Central not trigger On Reveal effects? I had a guy retreat after it pulled my buffed Apocalypse in and his Shang Chi didnt intakill it

edit: just ran into a game where the locations were the shrinking lab, crimson cosmos, and space throne and it was miserable

No delay. One season ends, the next begins - although there might be a break over the Christmas week.

Build a deck that really Goes Off on Turn 5&6, and you can see that coming when you have the cards in hand. That's going to let you Snap early when you have it, which will make a difference in gains when you get a good draw over them running away from a Snap on Turn 6.
America Chavez can also help with this, because it will make you more likely to draw other earlier combos, and you know exactly what you will Draw on Turn 6. Talking of knowledge, White Queen is a very good way to spy on your opponent and have confidence in whether you wil need to escape on 6.
Talking of running away on Turn 6 - treat pressing End Turn as saying "I think I have a better than 50% chance of winning this". The odds are doubling, so you have to be more confident than a coin toss.

Game's really enjoyable, I'm 9 cards into Pool 2 with one week of playing. Decided to buy the Welcome Pack and the Season Pass, 33 hours of playtime as of posting seems well worth the £11 or so I put down.

I managed to also fully accomplish all my goals before the season ends, namely A) Finish the Season Pass, B) Fully upgrade a card and C) Get into Platinum rank.

I've found the most effective way to rank is to build a deck around whatever the hot zone/new featured zone is and just exploit those who are not. That's how I went from struggling to get past Rank 39-42 to squeaking into Rank 51 this morning before it all resets.

Running this as a Patriot deck after people's suggestions in this thread, but wondering where I can tighten this up.

I was thinking maybe I could slip in a Nova/Bucky/Carnage combination somewhere? Winter Soldier benefits from the Patriot buff and everyone benefits from Carnage eating Nova.

Maybe replace Abomination with Blue Marvel and just make a spot with him Patriot and Onslaught in it?

I also wanna slip in Sandman somehow. I feel naked without it in my deck because 80% of my losses come from people playing multi card combos on turn 6

Playing different decks is a great way to learn the game. You learn how to play your decks and how other decks are played.

Are you retreating enough? If you don't think you'll win, retreat.

On the other hand, snap when you think you have a good chance to win, and _before_ you play your swing cards. And if it doesn't work, retreat anyway.

Finally, snapping on the last turn is mostly a waste I think. It makes it easier for a beaten opponent to retreat, losing you a cube instead of gaining the 3 you wanted.

The snap/retreat game is probably more important in getting cubes than winning a few more games.

That said, for gameplay: at the last turn, think about what the opponent will most likely do and play around it. I've won quite a bit of games by playing at the non-obvious location and getting just enough points to edge out a win.

Making a deck that exploits the hot location is a good idea, but swapping in a location-hate card in your normal deck is great as well. I made a Bucky-Carnage deck for the Cloning Vats and anybody who had Armor totally shut that down.

Just don't ignore the location.

He's pretty playable in the zoo meta, give him a shot! I played something similar to the list below for a while and it works kind of like a zoo deck that's teched to beat the mirror match. You start off racing them with small cards, drop Sandman, then switch gears to playing the big guys who buff your board.

Hello goons I have been playing this game a week or so and am pretty much bad, I never remember to snap. At about 265ish now

I’ve tried kazoo and destroy and ongoing decks based on recommendations in this thread. Kazoo was good but seems to run out of steam into pool 2 games. Destroy in particular seems to be entirely contingent on whether you get Carnage, and even then you need at least one lane with a mechanic that favors you. Maybe I suck or don’t have the right cards yet. Deathlok is my only other actual ‘destroy’ card but he’s pretty mediocre by himself

You don't have to wait six months for any card to become potentially available, only two. Everything else is subject to the vagaries of chance. They are working on a system that let's you target a card you want, though.

Your CL is a little higher than mine but I run a very similar deck to this one as well - at least until I can manage to unlock some decent cards for a move/destroy deck or something.

But my issue with the card is that a.) you only draw her on or before turn 4 7/12s of the time, b.) if you draw her you want your hand to be 4 or fewer cards at start of turn 4 to actually copy dino, c.) if you don't draw her you want card gen so that your dino is still big. I'm not sure what the correct approach for how you want to build is. (I skip MG for this reason, plus even the highroll of MG+Dino+Dino is so heavily teched against it feels scary to play)

Yeah, I feel like 2/3 of the time I have Moon Girl my hand is so full she's only giving me 1 or 2 cards, especially since you don't usually draw the turn after her (because your hand is full).

This seems like a decent approach - the issue is that if people are packing shangchantress you're giving it full value (which is the weakness of MG Dino Dino) which is a lot of points to give up without getting the second unanswered dino down. If I follow the line of thought enough I end up just wanting to play a surprise dino on turn 6, which means not running MG. I guess you could try to find cards that are really good doubled like nova or bucky so MG becomes good even if you never play T5 dino outside of very safe situations like vs a full angela lane. (but i dont own bucky yet)

Strategy is to keep your hand steady at 4 cards by playing things that refill for you, slowly buffing Collector as you go. If you whiff on Devil you can usually play something fun that you stole, or worst case pass turn 5 into Infinaut on 6.

I'll try it out (I own all these!!), but this really looks like it should have chavez.

The problem with this is it makes your dino weaker too.

I understand how White Queen synergizes into the deck but I also don't like playing her, because if I'm not doing Moon Girl into two dinos then I'm probably retreating. I guess the idea is she's a backup t4 if you don't draw moon girl, then your T5 and T6 you drop Dino and the 5/6 energy card you drew from your opponent if it's good?

MG + dino will happen in something like, at most, 38% of games... I dont think that's a great climbing strategy. Especially because its so hard to get 8 cubes going MG Dino Dino.

Okay maybe it’s because I am bad and stuck in the mid-30s matchmaking ranks… but is it me or do movement decks always seem to backfire spectacularly?

I’ve seen any number of them attempted but maybe once has the guy not shot himself in the dick
