For a while I used free ad-supported services for dial-up Internet because they were measurably faster in my area than paid services like AOL. I think I used Netzero and maybe another that I can't recall the name of - I didn't use Juno since it was kind of slow. Then I got a job where I got free dial-up Internet access, and then I got DSL, so I missed the end of the free dial-up period.

I still use my juno address. It is more than old enough to buy alcohol. E: netzero and juno merged sometime in the middle aughts, i briefly had to use their free dial up in like 2007.
