These people argue exactly like conservatives, they just make poo poo up and declare it as fact and then act like you're the crazy one if you ask them to explain what they're talking about. I'm so confused as to what supposedly changed so drastically over the summer. Some of those criticisms are rooted in valid complaints but it's still largely the same show it's always been.

I mean for me personally I think AEW's booking has kinda fallen apart ever the past year and the show's just generally not as good as it was the first couple years to the point I've stopped watching week to week. That said, there's so many people on the internet who can't just say "I don't like it" and move on. Everything negative has to be exaggerated to comical extremes even if it means inventing scenarios in their own head to get mad at. It can't just be a show that doesn't appeal to you, it has to be the worst show ever produced in history. Dynamite doing basically the same ratings it's always had has to be spun into SHOW IS DYING AND GETTING CANCELLED TOMORROW FOR SURE THIS TIME. They're like actively cheering for Paige to get paralyzed in the ring so they can stick it to TINY CON cause they've convinced themselves that AEW is the only wrestling company in the world where people get injured, etc etc etc. I dunno what it is for sure but I guess the internet just enables people to be weird ideologues that define their whole personality about being a Fan of One Specific Thing and thus having to be weirdly hostile to every other Thing that isn't Their Thing?

Yeah. I haven’t been feeling much in AEW for awhile but I don’t like watch it every week and post all my problems in the thread and say it’s all dying. I just don’t watch. Or I watch in parts. Or I post every once and awhile when I think there’s something worth discussing. But lots of people seem like they invest too much into a hobby and then get really obsessive one way or another and the internet is a great place for that obsession to find voice and like minds and enemies and lose all perspective.

I do agree that AEW has lost some momentum but not to the point that I'm not enjoying the shows or anything, and I think a lot of the reason has to do with either circumstances out of their control, or ideas that sounded good on paper but had unforeseen consequences. I expect AEW to get much better some of the way into 2023, when new TV deals are signed, the budget goes up, the video game comes out, ROH gets its own TV, and a lot of injured or suspended talent returns.
