I went to Clearwater to see Wayne Newton at a lovely little theater and Clearwater is the creepiest city I've ever been to that wasn't deserted.

random car hate I just remembered -

my neighborhood has become a bit of a destination for Halloween. a bunch of houses really go all out and do haunted houses, grave yards, etc and the whole area turns into a big block party. It's fun. I appreciate it and participate. But this also meant a ton of loving assholes driving aggressively to get parking spots all around the blocked off areas for the party and driving incredibly aggressively around in the dark with tons of little kids. A few times while I was out giving candy i really thought I was about to see kids die.

and of course people are like "Well how are they supposed to get there" Well this is a major city and I sit on the crux of like 4 bus lines that go everywhere and honestly, if you dont live walking distance away then gently caress off and trick or treat your own neighborhood. This isnt like a rich special neighborhood. its just a middle class spot that happened to have a bunch of people motivated to do poo poo. we dont have sidewalks even so kids have to walk in the street.

At this point though it's just a pay raise. My union is pushing for free parking for employees, and while I see their reasoning, there are other ways to financially boost workers that don't involve specifically subsidizing something bad.

Gas goes bad. I had to change my refueling from a full tank to a half tank just so I don't have to deal with old gas.

I don't refuel until it's on E but I'll keep it in mind not to fill up all the way

If by "workers" you mean carpenters/plumbers/electricians/contractors who are expected to show up with a bunch of their own tools, yes.

If you mean cubicle jockeys, you're just stealing from the non-driving workers and subsidizing bad financial decisions.

I try to maintain some plausible deniability since I'm somewhat identifiable on my bike, so by the time I notice the bad parking and come across it, there's usually just enough time to shake out the seeds I have stashed at the bottom of the sandwich bag I keep my other nutrition in. Like, ohh shoot it all spilled everywhere trying to pull it out of my jersey pocket, clumsy me... oh well.

You pinch the stroopwafels (cuz they're real good and you don't wanna waste 'em) and just kinda shake out whatever seeds are at the bottom. And they're just regular seeds and stuff, so you can eat them too.
