Ali is telling me I can have fast delivery if I add something that costs at least $1.40 to my cart. But it's not just any item, and their Shop More button on that alert goes nowhere. Has anyone experienced this before? How do I get that sweet sweet fast delivery? (On a whim, I searched for "fast delivery" and had to verify that I was over 18 to see the results. )

Papercraft can be amazing and a relatively cheap hobby. A quick search found me no freely shares plans for the RPG (unless you go ) But there's pictures and videos of people who built it.

Yeah they're available for purchase but it looks like a bit of a project, you may want to start with something simpler (just searching for papercraft for download gets you lots of stuff)

I used to think I would do some as a relaxing hobby but na I ended up sniffing flex and lead fumes repairing stuff.

I did a lot of papercraft a few years ago. Just downloaded tons of pdf and resized them in photoshop to my preferred size, sent them to a commercial print shop to print in 11x17 heavy paper stock and glue them myself. Until my kid was born. Babies crash papercraft models

Most home printers can handle paper up to like 230gr so if anyone is considering this hobby you might want to check what your printer can do and how easy it is to refill ink. And yes kids smash everything, I've built a lot of models and gave them to my nephews who destroyed them all in like two days.

I wanted to upgrade my keyboard I take to work for hotel desking, so I threw together a 75% one after checking some reviews. Funnily enough I also was DIYing a mechanical keyboard recently. I did my own PCB as well, with the theme being "extra buttons". I also wanted to use one of those Cypress chips with the mini FPGAs, but in a flurry of not paying attention I mis-wired it so the FPGA bit can only do half the work (I wanted to have the FPGA spit out fully formed HID packets and claim it was "hardware accelerated", oh well) Just to test the keyboard (since it would be more satisfying than hitting the raw keys) I got this one, in the "bzz180" colour (which somewhat matched the purple PCB I picked). It has 20 extra keys for macros/etc. but I haven't decided what/where to source those from. Sadly after soldering on the keys, two extremely fiddly flexible PCB-type LCDs and putting all the caps on, it looked great and I immediately dropped it, breaking off the micro USB port. I am now technically further behind than I was when the PCBs and everything arrived, as I either need to solder jumper wires to the USB traces, or take all the keys off this one and move them to a new blank PCB (the keys are expensive!)

Does anybody have a line on some silicone replacement lids for glass containers? These things: https://a.co/d/dvsDix4 I know they have to be on ali somewhere, but damned if I can find them. I can find plastic lids and I can find those stretchy silicone lids, but not fitted ones for these containers

Edit: on-topic content: most of those are just print to order anyways, right? so its not like they already made them

Silly question, maybe, but where do you think 98% of our poo poo comes from anyway? I mean, yeah, *maybe* poo poo sold through an importer *might* go through some testing, but I'd wager like to like it comes from the same factory/process.

When a factory floor shuts down the official run, any extra materials are run through and any possible substitutions are made to finish up as cheap and fast as possible that same night.

God dammit, those keyboard shots reminded me that I really wanted a set of Godspeed caps, but they only come in Cherry style mechanical versions, and I can't find a Microsoft ergonomic split style keyboard which uses mechanical switches Edit: only weird Ergodox keyboards which put every non-alphanumeric key in the stupidest place possible

I recently bought something that had free shipping. It was delivered by the post office and it has a note on it that says "invalid postage" and that I owed $5.90. I wasn't here or I would have refused delivery but my wife went ahead and paid. The item was only $15 so that is a significant portion of the cost. I would have paid $21 but it's the principal of it. Is it worth disputing this through Ali? None of the dispute reason match this so I'm not sure it's worth the effort.
