I have the forgotten locker combo dreams, along with “it’s the final exam for the semester and I haven’t attended a single class all semester”, and the all time classic “can’t remember my class schedule, but also can’t find the office to get another copy of my class schedule”

I know it's just a joke but I don't think it's about what stresses you the most but what you know the most. School is like a quarter of a person's life, so anxiety manifests as something deeply ingrained. School is so far removed from my life and I've stressed about work arguably way more but still in my dreams I'm back in school.

The two I get are the college one and ones about waiting tables, which I also haven't done since college. Even in the waiting dreams I seem to be aware that I do have an actual other job but I have to keep doing this one for reasons and it's very important that I not get fired but oh no I'm 3 hours late for work and I cannot remember nor dial the number to the restaurant to tell them and where are my loving SOCKS

I thought I recognized that name. One of my former bosses was on that restructuring team.

it's not so surprising that he would make this remark, the trick with Enron is that they were doing everything they possibly could in a fastidiously :actually: legalistic way. They had good books, they were just pumped in creative ways that at a high level ultimately constituted fraud.

This contrasts with SBF's bolded comments in an Excel spreadsheet lamenting how billions and billions in what should have been client holdings kept having to go elsewhere to keep the Ponzi up.

POWERFUL FUNGAL LORD

Usually my driving anxiety dreams involve me not being able to reach the pedals. I'm not particularly short (or tall; I'm thoroughly average), but apparently in my driving dreams I am a small child. For school dreams I've gotten to the lucid dreaming point where I can recognise that I do in fact already have a degree, but I haven't managed the "just walk out" part. Some day. (Doesn't help that I did in fact miss an elective credit and had to do it via correspondence.)

Here, have a niche-ish writing twitter tweet for content.

I've mostly replaced 'being back in highschool with a bachelors degree because of an administrative error' with 'being lost in an airport late for my flight' or the dreaded 'I need to go shopping at the mall'. I'm going to start describing the latter as being lost in an impossible labyrinth in a place that no longer exists to seem more mysterious.

for me it's arriving at an airport after a flight and the customs/immigration officials unexpectedly pull me aside, don't tell me why, and then make me fill out paperwork really fast, but i don't have all the info - i have to provide every employer i've ever had, every address i've ever lived at, every country i've ever traveled to, financial information etc (which is not unusual for visa/citizenship applications but is a pain in the rear end). but they aren't giving me enough time and there's so much paperwork and i'll never leave the windowless room in the airport with the cops in there breathing down my neck, forever

i mean this is a realistic approximation of some immigration experiences i've had, and i have been luckier overall than most immigrants

I've had lucid dreams a few times, and despite what is generally said about them, they are actually extremely annoying.
Usually what happens is that a minor detail in the dream will make me think "hang on, I know that isn't true. Dammit I am asleep" and from then on, it's just a case of folding my arms and waiting to wake up.
Sometimes it's really fast, like only a few seconds, sometimes a whole other dream scenario starts, but sleeping me is not fooled, and we just stand there, all grumpy, waiting to actually wake up.

There are a lot of people on twitter who have a weird one-way beef with her and got super up in arms over the idea of her wanting to cook food for her neighbors. You can find some people being super weird and some people going "why are people being super weird" in the QRTs and later tweets/replies.

Last time I had one was when I was a kid. I was in Mario 64, and I was able to triple jump and fly with the wing cap. I could actually feel the sensation of jumping several metres, somersaulting and flying :unsmith:

I also had one where I was in the middle of the ocean and an atomic bomb was dropped at the horizon. Again, I felt the shockwave of the sound followed by the tsunami.
