I lol out loud every year when the increasingly desperate yearly state sponsored marketing campaign to get more people to study nursing, teaching, etc gets rolled out, while year by year the same state makes actually being a nurse or teacher just plain impossible in todays hell economy.

Here in the States it's seen as a very solidly middle-to-upper-middle-class technical support role. I know an ED nurse who took a contract for more than a quarter-million bucks over Covid.
