Lol their excuse is "it's cold so we don't have a lot of food, also Vikings are assholes to anyone who owes them a debt" maybe instead of being incourtious and leaving your gusts hungry you simply don't keep track of their minor obligations to you? maybe feeding someone dinner actually doesnt entitle you to anything except their company?

Yeah the excuse of "there isn't much food so we have to be careful" is utter bullshit and antihuman. hunter gatherer tribes share tons and they have a lot less resources than sweden. Russians share just like normal people and they have been hosed by famines and weather quite a bit! sweaden culture feels like if entitled boomers existed for 1000 years and made a culture out of it

As far as commitment, the Ukrainians are in a war of national defense, but at the same time, I think morale isn't as strong as one would think. During early summer, a lot of units in the Donbass were refusing to fight in part because they weren't being given equipment and there wasn't a strong commitment to fight for specifically the Donbass itself. I would say morale can be highly dependent on circumstances (Ukrainian morale is going to be high after Kherson) and the Russians can't really walk away from this fight either. It isn't being completely supplied by the West though and local resouces are being used, and I believe one goal strategic bombing is to debilitate the rail stock that uses electricity, and probably then target diesel locomotives to deprive the Ukrainians their main source of supply. Obviously, they can't take out every truck and if you have a land border you can get supplies but they could make it a lot less efficient. Strategic bombing is slow, but Ukrainian offensives haven't been that quick either, it took nearly 3 months for the Kherson offensive to develop. There is some time sensitivity obviously but it may be something similar to this state across the winter. Also, temperatures are rapidly dropping in the region, and freezing is already occurring to an early frost.
