Today was an exceptionally good day at the dog park. Our boy Henry is a pretty anxious rescue lhasa apso, so big scary dogs are too much for him. Today, there was well over a dozen very sweet dogs including: 2 big golden retriever puppies, one of whom was wearing a Christmas jumper. They were both extremely soft 3 adult golden retrievers, all of whom were leaners. A three-legged lady pug mix who was extremely stern with anyone not on their best behaviour. A samoyed who just wanted to play with everyone, but who REALLY like bopping little dogs on the nose when they got annoyed with him. A very elderly lassie-type collie. She was not very steady on her legs, so she stayed on the sidelines and barked when the crowd got too rowdy. Henry paid her a visit, and she liked him because he is very polite. A French Bulldog, who was very ready to be offended, but actually got on very well with every dog he met. A very curly coated boxy little white pup, who Henry absolutely was crushing on. He chased him all around the park and even tried to hump him a few times. This is absolutely unprecedented for our Henry, he never runs in the dog park, for fear of being chased by the big dogs. His passion for that lil curly guy made him brave beyond anything
