It's a bit weird because I always say goodbye to my cat when I'm going out, if I couldn't find him I'd panic and I wouldn't leave until I see that he's okay, so accidentally packing a cat wouldn't happen at all here.

He came back from touristing in the city, zipped up his big hard shell baggage, and left for JFK in an Uber. My fiancée got a call from Port Authority Police, who was accusing this guy of stealing our cat and wanted to know if she wanted to press charges/put him on a no fly list. So my roommate and I go down to JFK to go pick him up. They had him in a crate in an office off of baggage claim. He was freaked out but was immediately fine when he got home.
