Not really any different than someone who spends all day hunched forward will develop lumps in the shoulders, or folks exacerbating spinal issues with bad posture. Sedentary lifestyle is hell on the body.

I had gone through about 3-4 evolutions of attitude towards the military in the five I was in, and probably ten times that many in the 15 since. I would absolutely never have made it
