Why did they have those segmented plates like children eat from? Also, can someone identify what foods those were meant to be? I recognised sausages and macaroni (with butter?) and that was about it.

For what they spent on those canned hams, they could easily have bought a proper delicious bone-in ham, which is extremely easy to cook

The stuff with shredded cheese on top is what I assume to be that families take on a “pear salad” which would normally be a a caned pear half with mayo in the center, shredded cheese and a maraschino Cherry on top all sitting on a leaf of lettuce. But in this video it just appears to be just a slice of pineapple mayo and shredded cheese.
