GBC chat: my girlfriend and her family had never had it before (different culture), but they all instantly got hooked after trying it. We now make two entire casseroles so there's enough leftovers to take over. Also we tried sweet potatoes with pecan topping this year and it turned out great. Not overly sweet and a nice crunch.

When we were young my sister helped a rook that had got caught up in a plastic beer ring in the park near our house. For years afterwards she had a rook entourage every time we went to the park, to the point where they'd start getting aggressive with any dog that came too close to her. The rookery across the road had thousands upon thousands of birds. She could probably have ruled our village if she summoned the entire rook army.
