In fall of 2020, a guy who runs a computer repair shop claims to have Hunter Biden's laptop, which he swears that Biden dropped off for repairs and never came back for so now the laptop and its information is legally the shop owners'. A circus of Trump allies swoop in, led by Rudy Giuliani, to reveal all of the shameful shameful shameful information on it. The information includes pictures of Hunter Biden naked and loving prostitutes, text messages described above, and that's all that ever gets really released, Giuliani and crew make a lot of claims about how they have 'the goods' on Hunter Biden and some people allege that there's child porn on it, and eventually it gets handed over to the FBI where it still is as part of an ongoing investigation the FBI won't comment on. Needless to say, all of the text messages got passed around and chuds insist that "the Big Guy" must be Joe Biden and therefore it's proof that the Bidens are stealing from Ukraine and actually all this foreign aid to Ukraine is going straight into the Bidens' pockets, and one text message that was between Hunter and Joe where Hunter was apologizing for being an addict and Joe was trying to be kind and supportive was thrown up on Fox News where they all said it showed how weak Joe Biden was and that no real father would forgive his son and not Hard Love Him To Sobriety. Also, people started asking why text messages were on a laptop in the first place, and there's a lot of circumstantial evidence that all of these photos and texts were actually stolen from Hunter Biden's iCloud account, which fits a fair bit with the MO of the Russian spy agencies which were supporting the Trump campaign. So: the GOP is screaming a lot about how this laptop has incredibly damaging terrible information on it that will ruin the Biden administration and prove that all the things that Democrats said about Trump were actually true about Joe and Hunter Biden and it's the biggest thing since Watergate. Even though, having owned the laptop and having physical copies of the hard drive, no Republican has actually managed to put together any sort of evidence for any sort of crime that Hunter Biden committed outside of drugs, sex, and trading his name for high-paying jobs, which the GOP can't directly accuse Hunter Biden of because all of the Trump kids did far worse. So we get endless allegations that something is bad, and that more investigations will finally bring this to light, and of course it's a terrible scandal, or it will be once all the facts are out and someone knows what it's about, which will happen next time. Always next time.
